OPEN ENROLLMENT JAN. 5 – FEB. 3, 2017
Though the open enrollment deadline has passed, we are still accepting applications for the 2017-2018 school year.
Completed student applications with supporting documents will be accepted in the front office at Liberty Tech Charter School at 119 Price Road, Brooks, GA 30205. Those applications will be time and date stamped upon receipt and placed on the appropriate grade level lists in the order they are received.
All persons remaining on the 2016-2017 waitlist as of January 5, 2017, will need to reapply for the 2017-2018 school year. Applications are also required for incoming siblings of all currently enrolled students.
The Application and Parent Agreement must be completed in entirety, signed and dated, and accompanied by the following supporting documentation:
Two proof of residency documents as follows:
A copy of the deed, mortgage, current monthly mortgage statement or current, unexpired lease;
A copy of a current utility bill (within 30 days of date of application); must be gas, water, or electric;
A completed, notarized Affidavit of Residency is required only if a parent(s) does not own/lease the residence in which they reside with the student, but student and parent(s) reside with a relative or other person who is the property owner/lessee within the State of Georgia.
An original or state-certified copy of the child’s birth certificate (no Xerox copies will be accepted – a copy will be made upon submission and the original will be returned to you);
A copy of the child’s social security card or waiver;
A copy of parent’s photo ID.
Applications must be complete as specified above in order to be accepted for processing. Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant at the time of submission and will not be processed until returned with appropriate documentation and marked “complete”.
Upon notice that a student has received an open slot through the lottery, parent(s) will be given 15 days to notify the school that the slot is being accepted and submit all registration paperwork. Registration paperwork includes the following:
For the 2017-2018 academic year, Liberty Tech Charter School is open to all student in kindergarten through eighth grade who reside inside the state of Georgia, subject to seat availability. Students of a parent who is a member of the governing board or a full-time employee of Liberty Tech Charter School are given first preference during the lottery, or students who are siblings of current Liberty Tech Charter School students are given first preference during the lottery. All other students submitting a completed application during the Open Enrollment period have an equal chance of being selected through a random selection process. Applications received after the lottery will be placed on the wait list in the order they are received.
